Extracts from a 300+ page text of poetic consciousness written by hand on “the crystal express” journey - a 14 day train journey from Barcelona to the Holy Land with 7 stops - a theory was developed of 7 train stops as 7 transformations leading to deeper awareness, inner connectivity and eventual dissolution of the self and its images.
A year later, the text was edited in a caravan during 21 days using an old typewriter. The text is repurposed as semantic triggers, provocations, void of any narrative.
The text was exhibited at the Crystal Ball Show, Pioneers Works in New York 2014, and used as the voiceover text for "The Crystal Express" a film directed by Gandja Monteiro and sponsored by Adidas.
“In my work, I investigate the nonform through various scenarios and through storytelling; deconstructing the discourses around me, digging and digging to reach the invisible once again. The train’s hypnotic effect was like a silver line of calligraphy sweeping through time, space, distance. it connected me by dissolving me.”
